Waxworks
30 July 2008 - 21:20
No, Paris Hilton did not die, unfortunately. But, I did have an interview this morning at Waxworks-Videoworks for a temporary position. As explained to me, I was to have the interview and then immediately begin working. However, this was not the case for after the interview I was told that all the positions had been filled, but I would be receiving a phone call when, not if, but when someone quit. This is somewhat of a disappointment because it can't be that bad of a job knowing that it will last no more than about two weeks and involve packing and/or repacking of some boxes. Boring, yes, but for $7/hour it would've certainly kept me occupied for the time being as well as my bank account from dwindling.
That said, I was required to divert my attention to something slightly more useful, if defined loosely. I ended up finishing a leather pouch I had made for my Gerber to replace the original one which has worn out. I also accomplished some more work for RelevantFaithChurch.org, which by the way, landed $300 in my pocket last week. So, all this screwing off learning HTML/PHP/MySQL has finally produced proverbial "fruit".
Tomorrow, I must find something better to do and hope that I get a phone call RE: Job. I've spent more than a few hours in from of this PC over the past three days. It is time for a change; though I am sure I will still manage to find some time for Facebook and a new, yet similarly boring, blog.
And before I forget, I did manage to get a few pics up yesterday on the "Photos" page of the Czech Scouts who were here in the Dirty 'Boro earlier this month. Be sure to Czech them out!
Until next time...

Welcome!
29 July 2008 - 13:42
Another summer, another blog! After working my last day at Domtar this past Sunday, I got hard at work on creating a new blog script that is 1,000,000 times better! There is WAY more security and many bugs fixed. New features are always being added as I have time to code them so check back often.
Also, click subscribe on the left to register your email address for blog notifications as well as being able to post comments. If you were previously registered, you must re-register because of all the changes, especially those dealing with security.
Peace
