The Irish government asked a question to its citizens: Is the Polish immigration a serious problem? - 35% of respondents said: 'yes, it is a serious problem! - 65% said: 'absolutnie kurwa żaden!'
In case you missed it... 'absolutnie kurwa żaden!' is Polish for 'absolutely f***ing not!'.
Perhaps this is not as funny to you, but I died laughing when I read it and therefore had to re-post it!

FINALLY!

I have something interesting to write about and for those of you daring enough to knock some of the dust of this blog, then you get to hear it here first!
Today I met with a professor of mine who just so happens to manage a photo gallery (RoHoPhoto.com) in downtown Cincinnati. That said, when it comes to photography, I've every confidence that he knows he's stuff. We discussed a few things like some suggestions for his website and his upcoming exhibition.
As cool as that is, that's not the best part. The best part is when he was going through some of my photos, of course criticizing without being condescending, and he said, "this is an amazing photo." That's mad props! There were others he highly admired as well. Most importantly, in the short time we talked, I learned a lot. By just examining my pictures through his eyes and hearing his thoughts I've gained a huge and useful insight into what I can do to improve myself.
One specific thing he mentioned, and I have heard this before but I didn't quite know what to make of it, is that I have the "view" or ability to see what might become a great photo. That's also great because that's something which cannot be taught, according to him.
From here, I need to practice more by taking pictures more often, which has been been almost not happening at all since I've been home from the Czech Republic, and better learn how to manipulate my camera and use it to its fully functionality. Also, I think I will have a few more discussions with him to gain even more insight and who knows, perhaps we will go shooting someday?
